Why me....

It's happening again! The panic attacks are back full blown. I went to my doctor two weeks ago and he increased my prescription of effexor xr from 150 to 225. I also take lorzapam, but not even that seems to be helping...
I have the worst of luck. I am engaged in a lawsuit agaisnt my prior employer for reasons I can't discuss. My current employer isn't much better. They have asked me to violate so many laws, which I refused to do. Moving from one bad job to another lead to major depression. I finally went out on SDI for about a month, two weeks ago. I will see my doctor at the end of this month to review my SDI status.
So I've gotten away from work and was feeling a little better. Still anxious because of the lawsuit going on, but feeling relieved not having to deal with addition work related issues on top of it.
Then my mother calls, she has a learning disability. She is having trouble at work. She got injured on the job, but her manager was refusing to give her workers compensation. So that where I came in, I talked to my moms work and her doctor on my mothers behalf. Requested a reasonable accomidation be made, which her manager refused, and to make a long story short, after two phone calls to her manager in which I was yelled at the whole time, I located a lawyer for my mother. Up goes my anxiety.
So last night I get an email from my work, I am out on SDI remember. Well they tell me that as of right now, my position is still open, however they cannot guarntee that the postion will not be filled by the time I am scheduled to return from SDI. In order words, they told me that if I did come back to work now, that my position with the company would be terminated.
This forces me to write a responce to their email. Basically stating that in the past the have giving both current and former employees without disabilities, who have worked for the company various lengths of time four + months of leave before terminating their positions with the company. To terminate my position after just 1 and a half months of SDI would be a form of disability discrimination...Argh!!!
Now my anxiety level is through the roof. I have yet to hear back from the company...

I am sorry to hear about the stress you're under. I hope that you are learning ways to de-stress or cope with the anxious feelings. I use the belly breathing & meditation. Please check out our *coping tips & tricks* folder below.
As for your work issues, I am certain that whoever is responsible for your case can work with your employer. Now, might not be the time for you to go to bat for your mom. Maybe to reduce your stress load, you could advise her to seek professional counsel, too. You need to keep yourself safe. Put yourself number 1. I know you love your mom & care about her, but you have more than enough on your plate @ this time.
Welcome back to the community. Don't forget chat tonight. We care & want to see you succeed. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
I am sorry to hear things are causing your symptoms to return.
