Hello, I've been posting alot lately, as I've been having problems with my Dr. switching me to different meds for my anxiety. Well now I feel like the up and down has caused me to become depressed. I was not experiencing depression before, but with all these meds in and out of my system, now I feel like I have no energy at all, absent minded at work, very irritatble, eating tons of junk food, and have no interest in doing much of anything. Still anxious too, just for an added bonus.
I'm supposed to go and pick up Cymbalta but it's been sitting at the pharmacy for a week. I don't know how much longer I can ride this roller coaster. 4 different meds in 2 months and I feel way worse than before I started... hives, fatigue, body pain, weight gain, loss of interest in anything.... and now depression?
What would you do? Would you start the cymbalta? I can't decide if I should give my body a break, or try again to get help.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that. The pharmacy is right next to my apt so I'll stop in and see if its' still there or not...
thanks!
Hi, I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well
and I do understand your situation perfectly.
When I start medications, quit and start another,
I always feel depressed and ill. We are supposed
to wean ourselves off of meds and still they mess with
our brains and hormones also.
It is easier to go from one med to another rather
than stop all together.
Maybe you should try the Cymbalta and see how you feel.
Just some thoughts,
Annie
Hmm, maybe you're right about that. I just don't know why I keep feeling worse instead of better as the medication gets out of my system. The dr said it was okay to stop abruptly but I guess her intent was that I go on the cymbalta right away. Now if only it was pay day so I had the $40 to get it!
I have always found the process of getting to the right med & dosage as being *depressing.* We all want to be better, YESTERDAY! You are no different, Cher. I wish that there was an easier way, but as Sheri Ann said, we have all been through the process.
Since the cymbalta is a little different than what you've been on & a newer med, I would give it a try. I want you to feel better. Let us know what you decide. (((hugs))) jan
i agree, its depressing when you have to experiment w/meds to find the right one.
Yeah,
Some doctors act as if it isn't a problem to stop
taking these medications when in fact it isn't easy at all.
I hope that you get the money soon! Please let us know how it
goes.
Annie
Well I started the cymbalta today (my wonderful fiance loaned me the $40. On a side note, I feel like a loser having him loan me money when I make $12,000 more a year than he does).
Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Someone else just posted today that she's feeling good on cymbalta after 2 weeks so that was inspiring.
I'll let you all know how it goes.
Thanks for caring about someone you've never met. :)
