hi everyone...

well, i woke up feeling anxious and depressed today...i think its cause of all the stress i am under...

i recently got put on bedrest due to pregnancy complication, and went from going on walks daily and going to the gym almost daily to laying around all day and doing NOTHING...

i was/am scared that going onto bedrest was going to cause my anxiety/depression to act up because i can no longer do the few things i did to keep myself healthy physically and mentally...

and now i don't know what to do:( i don't know if i feel this way because of my negative thinking or because i am no longer leaving the house, or because my body feels bad....

i am feeling really anxious and depressed already...i woke up this morning and just began crying...what a way to start a day..

i was doing soooo good with my anxiety and depression and now i feel like i've had such a huge setback and i don't know what to do to stop this "regression"

looking for support and advice welcomed...

I think I can relate to what you're feeling, Heather. I had the same problem when I started having anxiety again and I knew that the way I used to cope with it wasn't going to be possible this time. It's scary when we feel like out *tools* have been taken away from us. But, you can find other ways to cope. You can't get up and walk around, but you can still keep your hands and mind occupied. Have you every done any crochetting? It's relatively easy and it keeps your hands busy. I find that if I can't get up and move, I at least have to have something to do with my hands.

I hope you start feeling better soon. You can do this!!

Hey Heather - Sorry I couldn't post sooner, It's usually at night when I am able to check the boards! I hope you are feeling better and got through the day OK! I know it must be hard to HAVE to stay in bed and be forced to do something you don't want... can you stay on the computer while in bed? That's a plus ;) LOL I hope you are feeling better when you read this *hugz*

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad day, when my mother was stuck in the house for her blood clot she was a wreck, she wasn't allowed to drive for a few months, no gym or anything, it definately took a toll on her anxiety levels, but I would go visit a few days a week, do you have a few close friends that can come over a few times a week? I know its tough but try and focus on the postive, its a temporary situation and its for the sake of your baby and you, THINGS WILL BE BETTER SOON:) I hope that you have a good night and I'm sorry I don't have more words of wisdom on this as I don't have any little ones:)
