Is there any herbal remedy for anxiety?

If anyone has been following my hurt dog saga, you know that when Honey is healed and I can relax, I will be making a dr appt to get diagnosed and on some medication for my anxiety. Until then, is there anything herbal I can take to lower the anxiety? Thanks for reading!

I am not quite sure about herbal supplements however, eliminate caffeine type of beverages etc.. If you are a coffee drinker etc.. There are things to avoid that can trigger or make the anxiety worse.. Just be careful with herbs. You need to trat herbs as if you weretaking a prescription drug. There can be interactions and side effects just like prescriptions and so forth.. The best thing you can do is go see your doctor or find a doctor that can help you keep your anxiety under control..

There are herbal teas like chamomile that are supposed to be relaxing however, I know atleast for me if I am experiencing high levels of anxiety that just doesnt cut it~

The best of luck to you!

I do not use prescription meds, because I hate the way they make me feel, I do take SAM-e and St Johns Wort, and after being on both for a few days, I have felt like my old self again for a long time now!!! Hope this helped a bit!!

You can take up to 8 SAM-e a day and 3 st johns wort tablets, I take 2 Sam-e and 1 stjohns wort in the morning and the same in the evening, I also find that taking a really good multi vitamin and a B complex really help too. Good luck, and let me no what you decide to try!!!
