Does anyone else sometimes have the anxiety hit for no apparent reason?? I had a good day.. even was somewhat bored at work.. left at 5 and on the way to pick up DD I started feeling really anxious and that hard to breath feeling.. my fingers started tingling.. came home - took a xanax - the first in 2 months... and now i don't feel so anxious but me fingers are still a little tingly.. i've thought about taking the other half of it since I only take half at a time... not really bothering me too much - mainly just bothers me that it came out of no where for no reason.. when i was in a good mood..

I remember when I was actively having panic attacks sometimes they would hit in the middle of the day in the middle of doing something fun.. and it would be so frustrating..

Does this happen to you guys or do you always have a "trigger'?

(((Valerie))) The *out of the blue* attacks are the worst of all. I never see them coming & it's so difficult to get my belly breathing to work. So mysterious. But, I have practiced my breathing so much that it's second nature & really helps. The positive thinking needs to kick in, too. I hope you can put this spell behind you & move forward. Try not to stress

(((Val))) I hope you are feeling better!!

I usually have a trigger but have been known to have some "out of the blue" anxiety and panic. I am working very hard to recognize and eliminate my triggers and try some alternative coping. The breathing seems to be working pretty good. I have been fending the "major" stuff off but still dealing with the day to day anxiety.

Hugs,
Lisa

It has happened to me out of the blue. I just have to assure myself that it is going to go away and I do deep breathing, which is a huge help.

Sometimes they just creep up on me too .. I always try to "find" or think of something that could have set it off but I can't always find a reason ... maybe it's something subconscious.
