Never felt so bad before....

I want to tell you all about an experience I had on Saturday morning. I had a bad dream, where I ended up in the midlde of a busy road avoiding getting hit by a car (yes, that is somewhat how I am feeling right now). When I woke up from the dream, I was in the worst (emotional) pain imaginable. It was so unbearable I could barely stand it.
Frankly, I can see how people in that much pain become suicidal - it is not tolerable. After about an hour it started subsiding but it took me almost all day to get over it.
I realize that's not necessarily a panic attack, but it scared me half to death. I guess I need some other anxiety meds or something too beside the Zoloft.

hi there...
i am all too famaliar with that feeling of anxiety/panic:(
Thank you for asking. I can't say I've duplicated that pain again and I hope I never do. I am still feeling very anxious, having trouble sleeping and eating. I've been going on interviews - had one today and another one tomorrow. Plus 2 lined up for next week. Hopefully something will come through.
Also have an appointment with my therapist for Saturday morning. I'll be talking more with her about that too.
Emily, I think you need to call your doctor.

I am sorry to hear about this. Others have reported dreams that followed them & caused distress throughout the day. Dreams cannot hurt you, of course. In fact, research indicates that we work out our day to day problems through dreams. Perhaps the interviews have placed you under more stress than you realize.
I hope your *T* appointment goes well. The med discussion sounds like a good idea. I wish you much luck. Please take care & let us know how you're feeling. (((hugs))) jan
Hi Emily,
I have lots of those anxious dreams and although they are not much fun it's true that you work out lots of your stresses through dreams. Much of my fears I could see in my dreams. So it's probably all your interviews that were making you nervous and anxious that brought on that dream. Our minds have a funny way of processing stuff. It's good that you talk it out with your therapist and like you said maybe your medication needs to be adjusted.
ciao
