sounds like you have a lot going on. it must be hard for you even to find time to try and relax. it sounds like you know where your life is out of balance, and with all the aniversaries coming up its understandable that you are tense.
I know that carving out *me* time is difficult, but it's necessary for us to find our balance. Please check out the *coping tips & tricks* folder below. I think the chest pain was a wake-up call. Learning to relax comes with practice, no matter what method you learn. Sheri Ann had some great ideas.
Please post anytime. We're big on support & our members are generous when it comes to sharing new ways to cope. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
My mind is better...I started doing some proactive things at work last Thursday, and continued Friday and Monday. First, I brought home my hard rock music from work, and replaced it with tunes from Broadway musicals (the old ones like Rogers and Hammerstein) and Jonothan Livingston Seagull. My DH said that the last thing I need if I am stressed at work it to feed it with music.
This morning is a little hard...Dad has to go into the hospital this morning. He needs 2-3 stents in his heart. He is 82. I will be going to the hospital with my sister.
You need to make time for "yourself" even if it's ONLY for a few minutes. Take the time to have lunch, a cup of tea/coffee, a fruit juice, yogurt...something. Go for a short walk around the school. Listen to some relaxing music or relaxion tapes. Close your eyes, maybe a cool cloth over your eyes. We need as women to take care of ourselves so we can take care of the precious other ppl in our lives. You sound like an amazing woman. You wear so many hats. Kudos to you. It isn't easy and sometimes it's okay to do something just for "YOU". Hope everything goes well with your dad. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs!
