I am having a bad day. Actually a couple bad days. I feel really scared and jittery, panic attack type feelings. I feel really distracted and stupid like my brain isn't functioning. Like I'm slow. Impending doom!! Why is it that no matter how many times I have panic attacks, it's always so scary? I can't seem to shake this, it's been a couple days now like I said, on and off.

I, too, know how you feel! I have a question--if anyone can help--is klinopin merely for panic attacks or does it work for helping with generalized anxiety? Would I need another med for general anxiety to work with klinopin? Should these only be taken on as needed basis?
Thanks for any information anyone can provide!
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Klonopin can be used for any sort of anxiety according to the literature. It is for seizures, as well. Your dr. will know best how you need to take the klonopin. It can be on an as needed basis or a certain number of doses each day. I have taken klonopin twice a day, then just as needed. It can be habit forming. That's why following the doctor's orders is very important. Unlike some of the other meds for anxiety, klonopin lasts longer in your system.

Most people are given an antidepressant (& certain ones work very well for anxiety) for long term control of anxiety disorders. Most of the literature suggests that klonopin or drugs like it

I have been on klinopin for awhile--how do you stop taking it? Do you need to replace it with something else? Especially for panic attacks and anxiety disorder? Is the "long term" effects bad for you? I wonder why they have let me take it for so long? I have so many questions and I appreciate your patient answers. Is there an addiction problem associated with? What would be a "high" dose? Any information is so appreciated.

These are questions that you need to address with your doctor.

thanks for listening, understanding and offering sound professional advice. I am supervised by a doctor--just worried about med addiction.
