Lonezapam?

Hi all - it's been about a week since I've been on the board. I'm more in anxiety attack mode than panic with the attacks recently. My dh got a sucky temp job that will also help tide us over, and I've started my temp job yesterday.

I did got to the dr. on Tuesday morning, and he upped my Zoloft to 150 mg, plus gave me a 20 day prescription fro Lonezapam. Has anybody taken that before for the panic attacks? I haven't done my "homework" yet to see the side effects but I'm worried it might do something like knock me out. Of course, if it helps me sleep better that would probably be good.

I am trying to hang in there - still no permanent job yet but I have one more interview coming up next Tuesday and I'm waiting for my old company to find something for me too - although on that end I'm not holding my breath. Plus they could love me at this temp job and offer it to me permanently.

Do you mean Lorazepam? Here is a website with some meds info http://www.anxieties.com/med-profiles.php
If it is Lorazepam, I've heard nothing but good about it from the people I know who take it. I haven't taken it myself but it sounds like a good choice.

Keeping in you in prayers!

Hugs!

It is very common for docs to prescribe ativan (lorazepam) for panic attacks & ongoing anxiety.

My girlfriend takes lorzepam and so does my baby brother. Neither of them have had any side effects and both of them swear by it. Though they both only take it when they feel they need it and not on a day to day basis.
