I got to my appointment this morning as usual, went to sign in, and the scheduler was like, "Oh, J. is off today. Your appointment was cancelled." And I replied that nobody had called me, and I would have appreciated a phone call seeing as how I wasted a trip and was missing work. They got their wires crossed apparently. Each thought the other had called the day's patients to say that J. was not in the office today. Still, it's annoying. He said the 9 a.m. patient had come too. Hello! The scheduler was trying to tell me that the clinicians are responsible for notifying patients of changes in their appointments, and that's just baloney. It's the scheduler's job. He's the one who puts my standing appointments in the computer; he should be the one to tell me if there is a change.

hi laura,
that sucks! i would be frustrated too!
i'm glad to hear that you are finding work better w/some ice chips:) hey whatever works right:)
Laura I've had that happen with my T also and like you that day REALLY needed to see her. I couldn't believe a professional business like that would leave me hanging and have me come in when they know I have trouble riding in cars as it is.
