Hi Everyone, there are 2 different schools of thought on disclosing panic attacks. There are places like beauty salons where it will not make any difference or reflect on the person having panic attacks. In fact, disclosing this problem may minimize some of the effects of panic. When it comes to places like employment which may have an impact on advancement, the pro's have to weighed against the con's. The feeling of nausea happens because in a panic attack, the mouth tends to dry. It's difficult because panic attacks begin to have a domino effect. HTH.

Hi! I'd like to welcome you to the board. I saw that you posted to a couple of other threads. Thx for sharing your insights. We encourage people to talk about their *personal* experiences with anxiety disorders. None of us are professionals.
I just wanted to add that I don't experience nausea during anxiety/panic. I am emetaphobic. That means when I get sick with the stomach flu & become nauseated, I have such a great fear of vomiting that it throws me into a panic attack. It has nothing to do with dry mouth. Since I have had panic attacks for 36 years, I wanted to share my experience to benefit the many people who come here to read that there are others just like them. It's reassuring.
Please consider joining us in chat tonight. Newbies are encouraged to share their stories & ask questions about what has worked for others with anxiety disorders. Good luck! We want you to feel better & live successfully with your anxiety disorder. (((hugs))) jan
