When did your anxiety begin?

  • I think I've always had it .
  • In childhood, I was always an anxious/worrying child .
  • During puberty(teens).
  • In my twenties .
  • In my thirties/forties.
  • In my fifties/sixties or beyond.
  • I have no idea when it started!
  • Other. Please feel free to post your thoughts.

Mine didn't start until I had my second child.

I think I've always had it, from hearing stories of my childhood and the way I was when I was really little, it sounds like it has always been there ... .when I first noticed and KNEW what it was, was just a few years ago, or more like about 5 years ago I guess.

I remember counting things as a child. When I got interrupted, I had to begin again): Also, my mom was called to school a couple of times because I cried from fear. I recall the adults saying I was nervous. My fears revolved around the teachers & being punished. That may have been realistic. Back in the olden days, teachers were very strict & stern;) jan

My ds has this but honestly I think maybe he comes by it naturally.
My beloved mom and me and possibly his dad.
I think it is something you might always have but it is kind of like a roller coaster ride.
Highs and lows.
I was so glad to have yesterday off work but then again happy to be there today.
On the week-end I never went out, left my apt.
Partly because of the weather and not feeling well, but sometimes just because.
Does that make sense?
Having stitches made it hard for me last week.
I just want ppl not to notice me, and it was kind of not happening obviously.
Wahoo, I am going today to get them out.
Just cannot wait to be able to go home.
At work I have to deal with alot of ppl.
Just looking forward to going home to my ds and our cats. lol lmao
Hope everyone is having an awesome day.

When I had my twins.

Seriously, I first had symptoms right after I had my twins and was diagnosed with postpartum depression. I was on Prozac for a year or so. When I went off it I was okay, until the past month when a minor illness seems to have kicked off this cycle of insomnia and anxiety.

I think I always had it. I have autism. Being born as a blank slate is false. You can be born with disorders. Babies with autism will be a lot less social and a lot less responsive than "normal" babies. They'll also be more anxious...fearful. I was always like that.

I have read that the birth of the *second* child can cause this more often than after other births. Researchers aren't even close to finding a reason for this. I have had anxiety since childhood, Tina.
