Anxiety over 'nothing'?

I've been feeling 'off' lately so I took a half day from work. Ran a few errands then went home for a 3 hour nap. When I got up I felt panicky and wanted to cry.

(((Dharma))) you are NOT alone. Many times my anxiety comes out of the blue & seemingly over nothing. However, from reading your post, I believe you have many *somethings* going on. The decreasing light can be a trigger, too. Have you considered the lamps for your home that have been successful?

For now, be kind to yourself. Accept this as part of your chemistry. Not your character. Allow the scared feeling to pass through you or over you. It won't get a grip on you, unless you allow it. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan

Hi Dharma,

I have had issues with SAD. Putting full spectrum light bulbs in my reading lamp and turning it on early after getting up worked well for me. I would sit under it while drinking my coffee first thing in the morning. I put the full spectrum bulbs in my other light fixtures as well...and my house plants loved it. LOL

It's great because the full spectrum bulbs have really come down in price and are available at the big home improvement places (Home Depot, Lowes etc.) and most of the department store chains too.

Hope you feel better.
Hugs,
Dee

WOW!! LOTS GOING ON!! Besides expecting to feel bad---
since this is the time of year you get depressed.
Moving and a car accident is very stressful for ANYONE!!
Take time to do the things you enjoy- I am sure you are busy
with all that is going on! Don't give up on yourself and try to
look forward to the "good" days! Judy

I ended up calling in sick yesterday too. I almost feel like I have ADD. There are so many thoughts going on in my mind, I'm always 10 steps ahead of myself.

When my anxiety is really bad, I feel very overwhelmed, like you describe, stay in bed & get absolutely nothing done!
