Numbness when anxiety isn't present?

For a week I had panic/anxiety, happening mainly at night, causing me not to sleep. With prayer and some cbt online, I pretty much conquered it. Every now and then it will try to come back, but I ignore it and self talk and it goes away. Anyway I noticed that I had still had occasional headaches for a day or two afterwards, even tho, my heart wasn't racing and I didn't have any sxs. Headaches, chest pain, sweaty palms, numbness, and more were all a result of the p/A. I also actually felt sick in a way I can't describe..never want to feel that again.

Anyway the past two days, I've noticed a slight numbing in my right arm.Its sorta at the bicep level, doesn't extend all the way down, and was wondering if this could be a residual effect of the extreme stress I experienced q week-10 days ago?

Please no one tell me it could be serious or I should see a dr. that will just make things worse LOL! I just want to know if anyone's experienced the numbness without the panic. Thanks!

I have many physical complaints that I am sure are caused by anxiety. Just 2 days ago, my thumb was numb & I pretty much had myself convinced that I had a stroke during the night. Like you, I am subject to these scary thoughts & it doesn't take much but a slight *sensation* to get it started. Chances are good that there is a simple explanation for this. Maybe you twisted that muscle or as my mom would say *slept on it crooked.* It should go away, but I would be remiss not to tell you that seeing a dr. if it gets worse or you have other symptoms is the safest way to deal with it.

For now, I think you're doing a great job by refocusing your thoughts. Please keep up the good work. Post anytime. You are very welcome here. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan

I hope this resolves itself so you can move beyond it.
