Cranky this weekend

After taking Friday off, I thought I'd be refreshed and ready for a great weekend. Instead I got more bad news about my car and got snippy at DH over little stuff.
This weekend is turning into a long anxious ridden, irritable time. I have been okay for some periods. I dragged myself out to a bake sale committment last night and actually felt better for awhile. (the sale was for charity & all my brownies sold out) But today, I have the tired , wired and major cranky on. I've already grumped out at DH this morning and apologized twice, but I still feel so darn edgy.
I also have a ton of homework that I started working on, but it's hard to concentrate. Argh! Maybe I should try Valerian root capsules during the day. I'll let you know if it works.
That's for listening!
Dee

hey dee...
we all have times like this.
Heather & Jan,
Thanks for the support. My day got a bit better. I made a brunch and afterwards DH took DD to the playground followed by a movie "Open Season". Either knowing I'd have some time to myself or the dose of Valerian root or both, helped me feel calmer.
I spent the afternoon doing Intermediate Algebra homework and review for the exam on Monday. There were a few problems that I had to quit and then come back to, but I got it all figured out, so I feel prepared for the exam.
I even managed to get a bit of housework done and was watching "Rose Red" while finishing the math. I have some Ab Psych homework yet to finish, but I should have time to get it done tomorrow morning.
Jan, yeah it feels PMS'ish, but wrong time for me. Weird eh? I wonder about Perimenopause sometimes.

Dee
Yep!

Hi Sheri Ann,
You may be right about the routine...too much "free" time makes me overload on all the "I should be doings" and "what ifs". LOL
Just got my DD to bed though, so the evening will be a bit more relaxed. I love the 'lil twirp, but she is a frenetic bundle of energy & charm! It's been a bit of a struggle keeping her from overwhelming the new kittens. She wants to carry them around & play with them so much...we really have to keep a close watch on what she is doing. DD's quite gentle, but we still have to remind her that they are not toys!
Here's to a better week! Have a goodnight.

Dee

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the link. I enjoy herbal teas. I drink them in the evenings when I'm avoiding caffeine! I had not thought of Valerian tea, but may try it. The capsules smell kinda funky sweet; wonder what the tea would be like. LOL I'll let ya know if I try it.
Smiles,
Dee
I had to laugh, because my 5 y.o. sure keeps me jumping!
