Are Your Meds Killing the Mood?
Discover what you can do to keep antidepressants from affecting your love life
friends

Let's face it: Even though most of us aren't talking about it, not being able to get in the mood is a common female health issue.

Even worse, one of the most effective weapons against anxiety and depression -- antidepressant medications -- can have the unwelcome side effect of lowering your libido or making climax more difficult even when you do have sex.

So what's a girl to do? Discover what you can do to get your drive back and find out why, for men, antidepressants may actually help lovemaking last longer!

Not sure if your drive has taken a hike? Take our quick and easy quiz to find out.

My dh keeps insisting that more sex is the answer to all my problems. And of course he is more than happy to help. LOL He may have a point though....

Sadly, I don't need to take a quiz, I know that mainly exhaustion with perhaps a side helping of anxiety and depression is the main culprit for me. This is something I really want to change. I keep hoping that during our school breaks, there will be more renewal in this area. Gosh that sounds far away.

Thanks Jan, I'll check out the links. :)

Hi again Jan,

I noticed that when I look at the articles, the side ads are covering up part of the text. This has happened with other ivillage pages too...do you know if there is a setting or something I can check to fix it?

LOL no quiz needed here I have my husband to remind me weekly that I need to get off my downers(antidepressants) that I am on so we can have our "normal" sex life back. I have to keep reminding him if I did that then I would probably have to be locked up in a padded cell somewhere and that wouldn't be great for our sex life either roflol. I know when I am eating right, exercising and getting my proper rest it does make a difference!!!

I'm pretty hopeless with the computer tech stuff. I'll ask DH to help me with that info.
