How incredibly annoying!!

Yet again, my standing *T* appointment got screwed up. At last week's session, she said that she would be out today. November 9th. That is today. So last week I wrote in my calendar that today's session--November 9th--was canceled. So at 11 a.m. today when normally I would be in session, I went with some coworkers to get a free flu shot that our employer offers. On the way back--this was at 12 p.m.--I checked my voice mail and discovered that my *T* had called at 11:15 asking where I was.

I called her back and left her a voice mail explaining that I had it written on my calendar that she was going to be out today. Based on past experience, I'm assuming that the guy who schedules her appointments did not call today's clients to tell them that she was going to be in today after all. I know I didn't mess up the date. I know she said November 9th. Unless she messed up the date and meant next week or something. But this was ao aggravating because you guys know I get antsy if I miss a session. I was actually looking forward to our next session because we made some progress last week with our frank discussion. I was prepared to wait until next week since I thought she would be out today and lo and behold, I could have gone today if I had only known. I should have called and checked. You'd think I would learn my lesson from the last time this happened. But NOOO. I decided not to let my OCD get the best of me. I decided to trust my calendar.

That is annoying, Laura. Hang in there till next week. What CAN you do?

Here's my tale of woe): I fasted for 12 hours yesterday to have blood drawn. My vein *pooped out* during the draw of 12 tubes. OMG! I had to have a second poke. They called today to inform me that I need a re-draw with another 12 hour fast @ the hospital in the next town, because some of the blood should be protected from the light & sent to the hospital stat & it wasn't. I don't mind being hungry, but no water is punishing since I had the weight loss surgery in June. I swill through the night. Grr... Ugh... jan

(((Laura))) Just chalk it up to the poor scheduling.
