I just took a Klonopin. I feel like I can't breathe. Today is payday and like I always do I went online to check my bank account to make sure my direct deposit came through. It's not there. I called the payroll office at work, and they say it was sent to my account. I tried to call the bank, but they are closed today for Veteran's Day. They are open tomorrow, which is stupid because tomorrow is actually Veteran's Day. In the meantime, I have no money and no idea why my money isn't there or when it will be there and I'm just hoping my money gets in my account before the $400 or so of bills I mailed out get deposited.
Does anyone here know anything about banking? Would today being a bank holiday really keep my direct deposit from appearing in my account? Should I be worried? I mean, of course I am already worried, but is there anything wrong here? Of course I will call the bank tomorrow morning when they open. I'm just scared they're going to say they never received it from my employer who will of course be closed for the weekend and that I'll have to go all weekend worrying about where my money is.

Anything is possible, Laura. If the money hasn't been deposited, it's probably due to the holiday. My dd's disability check goes in on the 1st of the month. But, if that's a holiday or a weekend, it goes in the day before. Your employer ought to have made arrangements for this. That being said, not one of the checks you wrote will be paid today if the bank is closed.
Take some deep breaths. Don't borrow trouble, kiddo! Call the bank tomorrow & have them put a hold on your account or stop payments on the checks you've written. That is only IF your paycheck doesn't show up. It will cost you a couple of bucks, but it will give you peace of mind & the bank manager will be aware & in a posistion to help you. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan
Same here, my check didn't come because no mail today :(
