hi ladies

well, i've decided to try and get off of zyprexa...i don't think its helping...plus i couldn't breastfeed if i take it...i'm not even sure if i am going to breastfeed or not, but i don't want this med to be the reason why i don't...

anyways, i HAD to look up on line zyprexa withdrawl...and saw nothing but bad things...people saying how horrilbe it was, and how hard it was...and how they became more anxious....etc....

i'm afraid i've cursed myself before i even start to try...

would love some p&pt's...

i'm gonna try to lower the dosage super slow....

here goes nothing...

Heather, have you discussed this with your doctor?

This is serious business, Heather. I would be remiss by not suggesting that you get advice from the dr. You have two lives to worry about & both of you deserve to be safe. Both your psychiatrist & your ob/gyn need to monitor the situation. Please take care. (((hugs))) jan

Heather, good luck with the med change.(((Hugs))) I know this is hard for you. Is there anything else that your doc can sub or prescribe to ease the transition? Try not to be too upset by the online stuff...everyone handles things differently.

I am amazed by the huge differences in experience that women have about similiar things, it is only natural.

Hugs again & P&PT,
Dee

You can do this. I truly feel for you. Your poor hormones are running wild. You are going to have your baby soon and then I know you will feel so much better after your hormones stabilize.

I had to be on Prozac after I had my twins. I was on a low dose and was able to breastfeed. Just do what you can do - take care of yourself first. That may mean not breastfeeding. I only breastfed my twins for two months, then said to hell with it. Life was crazy enough without killing myself trying to do something that was beyond my abilities at that point.

You will get through this. We're all here for you.

Hi Heather. It's been a while. I was thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. I have a new friend who is due on Dec. 30th and to my surprise, suffers anxiety and depression. She has been on cymbalta the entire pregnancy and is doing great. I'm still praying for you often, hoping for you to get some relief. I've been doing really well lately. I've stopped taking ambien at night and I take the ativan (1/2 dose) every other day or 2. The paxil must be doing okay, because I'm not having any anxiety at all.

I sure hope that you find the right cocktail (meds, therapy, exercises & coping skills) that work for you.
