I am so sorry to hear this. Is there anyone that can come stay with you? Is someone helping you take care of your son while all this is going on? This must be so awful for you.

I don't really have any advice, just want you to know that I will pray for you.

I think the light at the end of the tunnel is that when you have your baby your hormones will readjust.

Hang in there. You are a strong woman. You have every right to feel frustrated and depressed. You are dealing with a lot right now.

I feel badly that you feel this way, Heather. Maybe going inpatient is an option. When you say that you want to die, that is very serious. If you are truly not functioning & that is what you have described, your dr. should be informed immediately. Go to your local emergency room & ask for help. You have your unborn baby to think about. Here is a number to call: American National Suicide Prevention Hotline
1-800-273TALK (1-800-273-8255)
A 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service available to anyone in suicidal crisis.

For now, it seems very unhealthy for Tyler to see you this way. Have you considered asking Children's Services for help? It would be in his best interest to have an adult who was actively involved with him. Children of depressed moms can be affected by these things. Sometimes we have to reach out to others, when we cannot solve our problems. There is no shame in that.

Take care of yourself. Good luck & GBU! Sending P&PT's your way. jan

Hi there, I am so sorry to hear you a feeling so awful. I am also going through a tough time right now, and I feel for you.

What I find that helps for me, is talking to someone about it, and trying not to deal with the feelings alone. I think that it would be a good idea to call that crisis line, there may be someone there that can give you some good advice and give you some hope. These feelings are very tough to deal with, but you have to remember that you can win. Sometimes it feels like a battle with yourself, but there are ways to cope and you aren't alone. I find that there is a lot of support here, and it is helping me talking to others that are thinking positive. I find that helps as well, I know it's hard to do, but you have to try to be positive.

I will pray for you, and I am thinking of you. If you would like to talk, I will be here, or you can email me @ scream_3422@hotmail.com.

Take care,
Amy.

(((Heather))),

I agree, you need help, especially with Tyler & finding a way to get through this. Please let your doc know you are feeling this way. Talk to your family.

Is there a playgroup or head start, somewhere Tyler could go and you get a break? Is there a pregnancy class or group you could go to with other moms you could relate to?

I know you have fears about leaving the house, but maybe take it a step at a time? Just step outside and get some fresh air at first?

My worst anxiety all starts a home, because there is little distraction from all my obcessive thought & worries. Going to class etc...even on days that I really didn't want to go, end up making me feel better.

'Tis also the season for SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder, have you considered this may be part of it? Some full spectrum lighting inside helps, you can buy the right light bulbs almost everywhere now. Sitting under one first thing in the morning really helped me a few years ago. I've noticed these really dark dull winter days tend to get me down and I'm thinking of trying that again.

Hugs,
Dee
