hi, i'm glad to see that i'm not the only one dealing with anxiety. i've dealt with social anxiety and panic attacks since i can remember, yet i feel like i've lived almost a pretty normal life so far. my husband's military and we moved to a new state where we don't know anybody, away from my family and friends. i was home sick for a very long time and very stressed out. i've been here for two years now and i've only had one good friend who left a few months ago and i'm having such a hard time just making friends. i do attribute it to my anxiety and i just don't have anyone to talk to here, so it makes me feel even more down. i have a wonderful family and i love my job; i'm in the process of getting help for my anxiety and it does make me feel better to know that there are women like me out there.

I grew up moving around a lot and I know how hard it can be to make friends. I've lived in the same place for 18 years now and I still have a hard time. I have made lots of friends here over the years but people move, your interests change, you have kids, and your social life just seems to take a back seat. It seems to take so much effort sometimes.

I'm glad you are getting help for your anxiety, and that your family and work can provide you with some comfort and support.

Hi,

Welcome!!!
In addition to other challenges, I think moving to a new State where I didn't know many people, especially during my pregnancy contributed to the development of my Generalized Anxiety. Change can be so stressful, even good changes, that it generates alot of stress.

I hope your move goes well & I look forward to getting to know you better. Please come by to chat or talk. This is a great group & very friendly board. I'v gotten wonderful support here. :)

Smiles,
Dee

Good luck with the help your planning on getting or are having right now. I plan to go to the doctors as soon as I can. Make sure you let me know how you get on and I'll do the same.
All the best and take care x

Welcome to the board. If you're in need of friends, especially those that understand the problems those with anxiety can suffer you've come to a great place. This board has been a God send to me these women have helped me more then I can tell you. Without them I would be so alone and miserable. Join us in chat I know I look forward to them every week.
