trazadone dreams?

I have been taking my Trazadone for almost a week now I believe, and it causes me to have the strangest dreams. Their never scary dreams, except last night I had a strange kind of scary dream about my mom. She died in it and I could still talk to her and see her, it kind of freaked me out. I was thinking it may have been from the things I ate yesterday, I had a huge starbucks drink which is hard to resist since that is where I work, and then I had taco bell for a late lunch.Im so addicted to Taco Bell its rediculous but my boyfriend has helped my cut back but he didnt know I had it yesterday cause he limits me to once a week and its usually on a friday. Is that possible for the food you eat to affect your sleep?

Also, I have noticed, or really just looked back to ways I would cope when I would have panic attacks and I would start cleaning to take my mind off it. Does that mean im obsessive compulsive because I have heard that usually with anxiety disorders people often develop another disorder like eating disorders or OCD. Is this true? Could i have OCD too? I start therapy on the 12th, so wish me luck. I thought I was already in therapt but then i realized my dr was a psychiatrist not a therapist. I felt pretty dumb. haha.

Also, i found that the first night i took Trazadone I felt hung-over the next day. But then the next night when I cut it in half I could not get to sleep at all. I was miserable. So now i take a whole one but i am starting to think i should take 2 at night. The bottle says take 1 or 2 as needed, so do you think its safe to take 2? Am i going to be able to sleep when im off this stuff?

I need any opinions possible?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi, Melissa! Everyone dreams. It is a necessary part of dealing with our daily lives. Sometimes the dreams don't make sense because they're disturbing or all mixed up. Often times the food we eat or drinking caffeine or even the trazadone can make our dreams more vivid & easier to recall. If this is bothersome to you, check with your dr.

OCD is generally considered an illness
