Tapering off Klonopin, part 2

I've been taking .5 mg Klonopin for about 5-6 weeks. Last week I cut my pills in half to taper off (that's what my p-doc told me to do). He seemed to think that I shouldn't have any problems getting off it because I'm on a low dose and haven't been on it that long.

So now should I cut my pills in quarters? Or should I just stop? I'm sleeping okay - my only sleep interruption problems are kid-related. LOL I'm tired of the mildly hungover feeling I get from Klonopin so I want to get off it, but I don't want to rush it either.

Hi! That is great news that you're doing so well in tapering off the klonopin. If you have any concerns or problems you should consult your doctor.

I may have told you that I had trouble getting off the xanax & had to taper off by cutting my pills into fourths. But the klonopin was easier. I quit taking one pill a day. Then several days later, I quit taking the last pill. I never got anxious.

I wish you luck & hope to hear an update that you have quit successfully! (((hugs))) jan
