This issue has come up on the board before. The dr. has the right to cover her butt. Klonopin can be addictive. It is sold illegally on the street & is abused by many. With the amount of malpractice suits being filed nowadays & the cost of insurance for doctors, why shouldn't she be allowed to make a contract with a patient? This is her career choice & her livelihood. Doctors have lost their licenses over these matters.

You have the right to change doctors & find someone who is better suited to you.

I am sorry to hear that this is distressing & triggering your anxiety. If you have questions, there's plenty of attorneys out there who can check into things for you. I wish you the best of luck. jan

Your right she does have a right to cover her butt but she should explain it as such & not treat people like they're less because they have a problem. This is what she does. Explaining to me thst she wanted to cover her butt I could very well understand & agree with. making me feel like a druggie is something altogether different. I have a son who is a cop & fully understand how professionals in ALL walks of life need to cover their butts.
