Hi! Nice to see you;)

Research indicates that people with anxiety disorders can be successfully treated by a combination of medication & cognitive behavioral therapy. I have found that to be true on a personal level. Most folks can get their treatment started with meds through their family dr. or an internist. Others feel or require a psychiatrist for medication. Many of today's psychiatrists see patients for medication checks. Long gone are the days of laying on a couch & being analyzed. This is done by psychologists, counselors, therapists, etc. However, not all of these professionals are *specialized* for what you are seeking. One size therapist does NOT fit all & that is reported frequently in this community. It's best to get recommendations from health care professionals, family, friends or by calling & asking before making an appointment if they have experience in what you are looking for.

Natropaths have their place. There are some people who want to go that route & if highly motivated can be successful. There are other alternatives such as accupuncture, yoga, TM, hypnotism, massage therapy, herbals, etc.

Here's some ideas for you. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
