Hey everyone...I hope everyone is having a good weekend...today is just not a good day...was okay this morning and for awhile this afternoon....does anyone notice that symptoms get worse around your period? Because mine is getting ready to start within the next day or so and I have found the last couple of months around my period things get worse...just wondering if anyone else notices this?

Hi Krista,

Yes, my anxiety gets a lot worse around that time of the month. The day before, I am so wired and edgy, my DH tries to just stay out of my way! I can definitely relate.

Hugs,

Yes I have been feeling that way too, tired and stuff because of the period and adrenals but then there are times when I start to get really edgy (like yesterday afternoon) and I try not to take any more xanax then three times a day because that makes me tired too...I have found that housework and whatnot helps alot with the edginess and when I get done lots of times I feel alot better and i can calm down and feel somewhat normal...and at least my house is always really clean lol...right now its snowing again here....I like the snow but the cloudy days sometimes make my mood worse lol...makes me sleepy and lazy lol...but I hope you are having a good weekend!!

HEY KRISTA,
Yes I did notice that my anxiety use to get worse around that time. So dido your not
alone. My name is amy and I am new to the board. Hope we can get to know each other. I have 2 kids a great hubby and 3 chihauhias. Currently have my anxiety under control and I do believe greatly that a chemical imbalance is like any other condition ( diabetes, high bp
or any other health related imbalance. So I surely love people to know they are not crazy for the ability not to always be in control. Also my favorite quote is : THE MIGHTIEST TREE THAT EVER STOOD WAS ONCE A NUT WHO HELD HIS GROUND : )

THE MIGHTIEST TREE THAT EVER STOOD WAS ONCE A NUT WHO HELD HIS GROUND : )

That is just about the best thing I've heard all day. This is my first visit here. I have my anxiety pretty much under control. Compared to what it once was I am doing really well, but the last few days have been rough. Even though I have not had an all out 'episode' like I used to sometimes I feel 'flutterings' of panic- right before I take a breath and re-focas. Your quote brought a smile to my face and reminded me that I need to keep holding my ground. :)

Krista,

OMG! I totally understand where you are coming from! I am in the same situation today! I feel so crappy...I rolled outta bed and wanted to roll right back in. I feel really depressed, fat, my head hurts, I don't want to be bothered, don't even want to leave my house, I could go on for hours. I think it's the our hormones just mixed in with everything else. I also get real paranoid also. I hate this time of the month, I wish I could just sleep right thru it! I try and listen to music that makes me smile or watch something on T.V. that will make me laugh. Or do something good for yourself, like pampler yourself: take a bubble bath, buy yourself something. But I feel your pain...try and smile :-)
