I did it...

After over a week of "talking" myself into taking the glucophage.. I finally took it tonight - about 2 minutes ago.. as silly as it sounds - I'm proud of myself and terrified all at the same time. now we just pray that nothing bad happens..

It makes me kind of laugh at myself.. the glucophage is supposed to make my body respond to insulin the way it is supposed to and help protect me from other illnesses down the road like heart disease and stuff like that - as well as help me loose weight.. but I was still terrified to take it. I pray for the day when taking new meds doesn't completely freak me out. :)

OK - I'm done.. :)

Thanks Jan -

Well I took it and I'm still alive! lol

I didn't have any bad side effects or anything at this point.. I was prepared for stomach issues since it's the most common side effect but I didn't have that so far.. hopefully it will continue this way. I did seem to be a bit more energestic today - but I realize that it may just be psychosematic.. We'll see..

I use Metformin (generic glucophase) and if it is the extended release, you should not have any side effects. I used the regular metformin and it was soooo bad I stopped (couldn't handle the side effect) my doc. changed it to extended release - WOW!
