It wasn't as terrible as I expected going off of these pills. I don't get as dizzy now, this is the fifth day pill-free. But I feel my old feelings of stress and anxiety returning and I'm going to struggle hard to make it through without meds. I think I'll still keep my Ativan though in case it gets bad. I had to use a quarter of a pill yesterday for my job interview. It went well though - I was trying to get a housekeeping job at a hospital. ;) Now just a week or so to find out if I get it or not. I am confident!

I'm going to go over the coping tips and tricks again to try and do this med-free.

Hang in there!! I know what it is like to be going off those meds, it is not easy!!! Sounds like you are doing good, the first week is always hard. By the end of this week you should be feeling much better! It does get better, just keep up the good work! I would also suggest you have therapy also if you feel the anxiety coming back. I didn't have that and now I am fighting the battle of meds again and they aren't working like they did before. Anyway, keep on truckin, you can do it!!! Good Luck!! Erin

Good luck to you! You sound like you're doing great! I used to be on anxiety meds, too, but made the decision to stop taking them a few years ago - it was hard at first, but with lots of support from the people closest to me, I did it - I'm sure you will, too!

I forgot to say good luck on getting the job. Please keep us posted on that. In another month or so, I am going to be hitting the pavement ISO work. It gives me butterflies just thinking about it;) (((hugs))) jan

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What medication did you get off of? I hope to get off mine at some point. I am on 50mg of Zoloft which isn't much, but it really helps!

I was on Zoloft 25 mg. =x Just be sure that when you do stop, you do it gradually. People like to do it cold turkey and it's just not a great thing to do.
