Hey Mandi...I am sorry that you are having a rough week hun...can you come in the chat room yet? because there is a chat tomorrow night and it helps...are you taking anything for your anxiety? Another good thing that helps me is to get a favorite blanket, make a hot cup of tea (preferably Celestial Seasonings chamomile, which is VERY soothing its like a natural herbal calmer, or the Sleepytime) and curl up in a fav chair or the couch, take some deep breaths, and watch a good movie or tv or whatever you like to do to calm down and just decompress...I know it is hard to do especially when you have alot of things on your mind, but it's really important to find something that you can do repeatedly to help calm yourself down, and the blanket, tea and tv thing is what helps me the most...how is your grandfather doing? I am having a not so good week myself...my husband is out of town from today to at least friday (im hoping he will come home friday night) because his grandfather is really sick and doesnt think that he will make it through the next couple of weeks, so I am here alone with my cat (which is good, he keeps me company, he my besist bud :) so I can sympathize with you this week...but just remember that tomorow is another day, take it one day at a time, and that God will never give you any more than he thinks you can handle, and know that He is there....i send lots of love and hugs, and I hope that things will be getting better soon...if you have AOL or the instant messanger and want to talk, my screename is LittleOne0916 just come and find me k? we "crazies" gotta stick together!! let me know how you are...

This too shall pass ;)
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Just reading your post brought tears to my eyes. My grandfather is doing better. He has been fighting heart disease since I was little and I am 25 now. Just seeing him sometimes makes me just want to hug him and not let go. I am sorry to hear about your husband's grandfather...I will say a prayer. There is never an easy way to deal with things like that.
You have a cat? So do I and she is my "little ray of sunshine." When I look at her she just makes me smile. Her name is "Sassy" and her name fits her perfectly. She is a long-haired gray and white kitty. What is your cats name? I love animals. Whenever I am having a crappy day, I always hug my cat. It may sound weird but just looking at her, she is so damn cute, makes me smile.
I am at work right now, and can't wait to go home so I can do exactly as you said. I can hear my couch calling my name. I can't chat yet, still working on getting my internet turned back on. I can't wait to chat though.
Thank you for being there...I hope your husband makes it back to you asap. Being alone, never a fun thing. Try to keep yourself busy.
Many hugs...keep your spirits up!
Mandi
Thank you...I can't wait until I stop feeling like this!
Many hugs and thanx!

Hey Mandi...my grandfather had heart disease and diabetes too...so i TOTALLY understand what you are going through...he passed on my senior year in high school, and it was HARD, he was like a daddy to me, and im 27 and its still hard lol...so i feel you, and you just give that man all the hugs that you can...a hug is the best medicine :)
My cat is a tabby named Tigger...he is the best cat I have ever had not like most cats...greets me at the door when i have been gone, begs for treats, sits with me in the living room at night, and totally knows when I dont feel well lol because he sticks to me like glue...he is spoiled rotten, but that is okay because of what he brings to me lol..i got kind of sad though because i sat there the other day and realized that he is going to be 7 years old this year...certainly doesn't act like it though lol...he still like a kitten although he still sleeps all day...but yes, he makes me feel so much better..i would have a zoo if i could i also have two dogs (who are outside in a huge fence) and a hamster who is spoiled as well...he sits on top of my entertainment stand/tv thing.
well, I hope you enjoy your couch tonite...One Tree Hill and Medium are on tonite i like those shows....do you watch any of those? I also love Gilmore Girls and Greys Anatomy is my absolute favs...and Sex and the City...i have those on dvd...but anywhow now I am blabbing lol...write me back let me know how you are hugs and prayers for your grandpa :)and lots for you too
(((Mandi))) I am sorry to hear this): Life really stinks some times. I see that you have had some good ideas presented on how to *look ahead* rather than stay in this *down* state.
This always perks me up! I buy a bag of dog or cat food & push myself to go to the local animal shelter. They are so happy to see anyone who will take the time to pet them & give a kind word. Of course I'd love to adopt every last one of them, but that isn't possible. It warms my heart to know that I helped them in a small way. I have shed many a tear there, but I come home feeling so much better. BTW, on a scale of 1 to 10, car troubles are a 20:) GL! jan
Awww...your cat sounds so much like mine. Sassy is a "Ragamuffin" which I swear is one of the hairest cats of all! She has long hair coming out of her ears and each one of her paws. She is only a year and a half. Still a baby and loves to play. She will play peek-a-boo and chase me through our townhouse bitng my ankles. It's so funny!
Anywho...I love Grey's Anatomy, love Ugly Betty, love Sex and the City, love One Tree Hill, I have become a t.v. junkie! I also have Sex and the City on DVD. It's crazy to have never met you yet have sooooo much in common with you! That night, I walked in the door and told my sweetie that I was not leaving the house again until the next day. I put on some sweats while my sweetie made me dinner (he always does, he's the best) and just relaxed. It was just what I needed.
You are the best. I hope everything is well with you. I hope these past few days without the hubbie went smoothly. I will be online all day if ya need to talk....Hugs!
