Is the air in your house dry? I know that happens more in the winter when it's dry. Especially if you have a lot of carpeting. The friction and static do it. Try a humidifier or two.

Had to use the frazzled icon because it looks like it's being shocked too. LOL

More than likely it is static electricity because the heat is on & the house is dry. I noticed everytime I pet my cat, I get shocked. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. It's in the atmosphere. Heart attacks usually have symptoms such as chest pain, nausea, shortness of breath, etc. If you have those feelings, call the dr. right away. Hope you feel better soon, Melissa. (((hugs))) jan

Everytime I touch one of the kids I shock them, they've been commenting on it, lol.

welcome to winter. :) I hate static too! And I always seem to have so much more static electricity than everyone else. Or maybe I just feel that way because it bothers me so much. But yep it's due to coldness and dryness of the air due to weather, heat etc. Humidifiers might help. I also noticed that it can be related to the type of shoes you wear. Good luck. :D

Hi Melissa,

There is a "shocking" amount of static around here from the dry winter air...I can hardly touch my cats anymore without a spark! LOL I'm running a humidifier full blast which helps a bit. Can't wait for spring!

Smiles,
Dee
