Hello all...I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions about this crappy lightheadedness I seem to get when I get my period...it actually hasnt started "all the way" yet but it happened last month but not until a few days after it got started...and of course with the anxiety now I am worried that something is wrong or im going ot pass out or something...it only usually happens around my period or during it and I had my first endocrinologist appt last week and they are testing me for anemia but this just freaks me out and my dh still at work...i just get scared by myself and that is so horrible cause im 27, i should be able to handle this mess!! But i guess i just want to know if anyone else has this problem during their period, and what do you do about it? My holstic doctor's lab guy is also going to be testing my female hormones sometime in the next couple weeks too because the Endo did not seem interested in testing anything but my thyroid and rechecking my adrenals...i kind of wanted to smack her...but i guess I will lay low this weekend and just get rest...thanks for letting me vent im so tired of this crap!! lol much love to all...

Thx so much, Lynne. My strenghth wanes @ times, but I have faith in human nature. She CAN change. We all have that ability & I refuse to *give up* on my dd.
How's the nausea? Anxiety? Nice to see you in chat:) (((hugs))) jan
Thx so much for your kind words, AJ.
The situation is ever changing. She has moved AGAIN, back to the big city with a high school gf. It was a stressful day, but we made it through. She is determined to make a turnaround. Fortunately, she was able to see that staying here was NOT the answer. She is unable to stop hanging out with her drug buddies & in turn, cannot stay off the drugs. This is a step in the right direction. I know her gf & her gf's roomies do drink occasionally. But, none are into drugs. They all attend colleges & have PT jobs. I'm not saying they're perfect role models, but they sure have sense & a future! KWIM???
Thx for listening. If I missed you in chat last night, I am sorry): I got there late. See ya soon!?;) (((hugs))) jan
Thanks for the update! Stay strong--I know it isn't easy!! Hope your dd will figure out "her way"! Put it in God's hands!
Went to the doctor today! Had an EKG! My heart was racing and bp high! They put me on a beta blocker to help while I continue to cope with the anxiety! Am working with the therapist, started Wellbutrin and am taking Klinopin to try to sleep! Am still pretty nauseated and having a difficult time eating with no/ to little appetite. Hope that will subside! They said I looked a little too skinny! AAAARRRGGH--this anxiety/panic thing--sooo, sooo hard to deal with!
I think you or someone else posted about being on a low dose of a beat blocker--as they say which came first --the racing heart beat or the anxiety?? If you are on the beta blocker--did it/has it helped you? I know you said you've been through many meds, too! Of course, I get scared about meds, too!
Would love to find out anything you can share!
Thanks for replying and please know that I am thinking of you! I know how a mother just wants to protect her cub(s)
Hope your cub will continue to take the right steps!
Remember to take care of You!
Hugs!
Lynne
Thx so much, Lynne! If it weren't for my faith, I would be totally floundering.

I also had a little lightheadedness and a shortness of breath around my period. I only had anxiety during PMS until this year when I started graduate school, then it got worse and started happening more often. I went to my ob/gyn and asked her about it. She prescribed Yaz as my new birth control pill. My symptoms are almost entirely gone! It's been great! I don't know if that would help you, but thought I'd throw my two cents in. Good luck!
