I am experiencing a lot of almost constant dizzy-foggy headed feelings. Has anyone else felt this. I have a history of panic attacks and anxiety and have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroid (inflamed enlarged thyroid). I need some reassurance that I am ok.
Thanks,
Kelli

(((Kelli))) You are ok. Many of us have felt these sensations & they are definitely scary. I use the belly breathing & relaxation to cope & manage my fears. It does take time to learn how to reassure ourselves. Here's a good link of symptoms: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhpanic/?msg=20881.1

Hi Kelli - When my anxiety is at it's worse, I get the dizziness/vertigo - everything in the room spins out of control.

That is part of your thyroid condition - commonly known to us as "brain fog". As for the dizziness, that could be a temporary side effect of the meds you're now on. It'll take a few days for your body to adjust. I have Grave's Disease (hyper) and had my thyroid zapped so now I'm hypothyroid. There are some good support boards you can go to. The panic and anxiety are also part of the disease.

You should go to the library and take out some books on thyroid disease - there are some very good ones out there!

Thanks so much for your info. Are there any boards that you suggest? Thanks again.
