Hello,
Not sure if this is just me or does anyone else experience this, but when I go into a place that has dim lights, I get really bad anxiety all the way to almost a panic attack. Now I try to avoid those types of places which is not good.
does anyone else experience this issue?
Tina

I don't panic in dim lights, I feel panicky when I am completely alone. Mostly in the shower. I am usually ok in the morning but I can never take showers at night unless it's w/my dh.
I once freaked out at school when the instructor left me for a while in a lecture room that was fully lit. It was really big and made all these creaky noises and the anatomical skeleton didn't make things better. I felt a panick attack coming on, so I jumped up and ran out.
I have never told anyone this except my dh. I felt like such a dumb**s. Noone else knows about the shower thing either, except everyone on this board.
I am sorry I wasn't much help, I just want to say I know how you feel.
Hey there,
I don't know if this is the same for you, but when I go into places that are dimly lit, I get panicky becuase I can't really see a clear path to get out if I started to panic. It happens in really dark restaurants, movie theatres, clubs, etc. I get nervous about having to get up quickly to leave, and tripping over someone, or a chair etc and making a fool of myself. Then I start to worry about all those things and get really really panicky, so much that it is difficult for me to even step foot in places that are really dark or dimly lit.

I was mostly referring to restaurants, that is where I mostly see dim lights, maybe other places I dont remember.
