I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking around the board lately. I'm 35, have a 10 yr old and 8 month old, married to a great guy who puts up with my craziness.

Background: I've always been paranoid. As far as I can remember. When I was a baby and toddler, I had terrible nightmares (that I remember) --don't know if that has anything to do with my craziness. I've always been careful. Friends call me "mother" because in high school and after I would never take a chance and do anything that could harm me. In a bunch of ways it kept me out of a lot of trouble.

I started having actual panic attacks when I became pregnant with my son (who is 10 now). During pregnancy, I would not go to a movie theater, unless I could sit on the back row. I didn't want people behind me. I worked on the 5th floor of a 6 story building with a glass elevator. I started having attacks riding the elevator. It got so bad, I would walk up the 5 flights of stairs. I got to where I wouldn't let anyone drive me, I had to drive. I had a feeling of death and doom my whole pregnancy.

thabc69.jpgHi, Misti! Nice to have you here. I am sorry to hear about your experiences. I can assure you that you are NOT alone. Many things you have described have happened to me. I had an awful spell of anxiety several years ago & was unable to eat because of a choking fear. It seems the more I concentrated on it, the worse it became. Bridges, elevators, movie theaters & even driving have been problematic for me in the past.

I am sorry about the financial situation & not having your meds. I would seriously consider asking your dr. for samples. Or getting meds straight from the drug company can be an option. Here is an excellent website: https://www.pparx.org/Intro.php
