Hi. It's been a while since I wrote. Last I wrote, I told y'all that I made an "A" in my Pathophysiology course last semester. Well, I'm taking Pharmacology and a History course for this semester, and I received a letter from the school that I didn't get accepted. My friends, parents, and my dh were in as much shock as I was. If you recall, I think I told some of you that I had taken a lot of my courses if not 10 it was 15 years ago, but the school still accepted my courses.
Right now, my mid-semester grades are "B-" for Pharm and "A" for History, but still. I know this school is a little disorganized, but still.. My GPA 10 years ago was 2.99 in my Bachelor's. My friend, Crystal said that may have been a factor, but then, if I made these good of a grade recently then I think that would hold some weight.
Still, I'm going to see the Admission Officer to see if there was even a mistake. Unfortunately, for this school, I wouldn't put it past them to have lost something. When I put in my application packet back in Nov '06 I didn't have my Patho grade, because I didn't complete the course yet.
I don't know. Right now, I'm just preparing for the worst, which of course is not really being accepted, which I still don't understand. Everyone in this Pharmacology course are supposed to be in the upcoming program for 2nd B.S. Nursing, and they're only 15 of us. You would think that would meant that all of us are accepted.
I'll be calling my professor tomorrow morning to see what the deal is. Kind of worried right now, because I had taken a lot of my science courses 10-15 years ago. Thinking that I probably can't get into any program right now with that.
Sorry, just needed some reassurance. Also trying to put my dd to sleep on her own right now. Not making this typing any easier.
Yaddiya

(((Yaddiya))) I am sorry to hear this. I am certain that it is a great disapppointment & something you were unprepared to hear. That always seems to make things much worse & generally for me causes alot more anxiety.
I hope that you can get to the bottom of this decision & perhaps get an advisor to help you find out why this has happened. Also, don't give up totally on your dream. There must be something you can do to salvage those courses if they were taken too long ago. Can you take the challenge exams?
I wish you the best of luck. Although I know you feel pretty low right now, there's no place to go but UP! When you look back on this, it will be a tiny blip on the radar screen of life. I know that you will persevere & find your footing. jan
