Feeling good

I'm finally feeling better. I spent the last week in prayer and intense bible & book studies. I also forced myself out of the house as much as possible for some enjoyment with my family. Taking time to read, pray alone and getting out are how I deal with my anxiety issues. (That and support from this board!) I just wanted to update you on how I'm doing because I know it can be encouraging to read a good post once in a while. :) I never did increase my paxil and I haven't had ativan in over a week, so I'm happy about that.

I have figured out that my main trigger is being sick. It always makes me question my anxiety and meds, so I just spiral into panic thoughts. So, next time I come here complaining about anxiety, feel free to remind me of this!

Thanks everyone!

I am so happy to hear this, Candace! You were in line for a return to balance. I am glad you found ways to achieve it!

As for reminding you in the event the anxiety bug bites again, I will be glad to. But first, you have to promise to remind ME!!! LOL Even a hint of illness is enough to put me @ death's door;) GL & GBU! (((hugs))) jan

That's great Candace!! It feels good to feel good doesn't it?? I hope you stay that way for a long long time!!! I think it just gets better once you realize your triggers for what they are. I am getting better. I am having a rebound of sorts right now but I am finding it is not taking as long to come out of it now that I have "tools" from my T and you guys!! I know it will get better, it always has before. I am so glad that you made yourself get out of the house. That is what I have to do too. Right now I am shoving myself out of my bathrobe and into some street clothes so I can clean a bit of my house. I don't WANT to but I have to. Maybe I will feel better after. Thank you for sharing your success with us. It really does make a difference!! Big Hugs, Erin

I'm so glad you are feeling better! Being sick or injured is a big trigger for me too. I start overanalyzing my aches and pains and it takes on a life of its own.

Thanks for the post! It really is nice to hear about people feeling better.

GREAT NEWS!!!!! I feel anxious and stressed when sick also!!
Like it is some HUGE ILLNESS THAT WILL LAST FOREVER!
I cannot rest when sick this is NOT GOOD!!
I have found listening to my hypnosis tapes does help!!
Relaxing music does too!
I am happy for you--- you have isolated a trigger and can now
use it to help yourself feel BETTER!!!
When you get sick try and do some positive thinking I will soon be well again-- try to push away the negative feelings and THOUGHTS!!!!!!
THE THOUGHTS ARE WHAT GET"S US IN TROUBLE!!
Take care!! Judy
