I think anxiety could cause headaches and just about any other weird symptom you could think of. Seriously. I also think that anxiety makes you obsess about how you are feeling, every ache and pain, etc. What I do when am feeling headachy and blah is to make sure I am drinking lots of water. Then if I still feel yucky, I try a healthy snack and/or a short walk. If that doesn't work then I take an ibuprofen and try and forget about it. But sometimes you are just having an off day, and in that case I go to bed early and the next day is always better. If you are having those symptoms every day you should probably go see a doctor.

Hi, Jennifer! Undoubtedly headaches can be a result of stress, tension & anxiety. Many folks report them on the board. Sometimes there is neck, shoulders & upper back involvement as well. I know that when I stress out about a headache, because they're so unusual for me, I often get that *just not quite right* feeling. That is definitely anxiety.

If your headaches are severe or constant & accompanied by other symptoms unusual to you, please call your dr. Have you re-started the cymbalta? Generally, how are things going for you? Hope to see you in chat on Tues. night. GL! (((hugs))) jan

Yes, I have headaches from my anxiety. Usually they are tension headaches where it feels like you have a vice on your temples and right between your eyes. Last month I had tension headaches EVERY day for two weeks!! It was NOT fun!!! My chiroprator gave me some tension relievers to do and my therapist told me to scrunch up my face muscles as tight as I could for 10 seconds, then totally relax them for 20 seconds. After you do that a few times, it really does seem to help. Also for the rest of your question, when my anxiety is really really bad, I feel weird, just not right. I can't sit still for very long, I get anxious just sitting around, but I can't focus on anything either, like reading or watching TV. I don't feel like moving around much, but its the only thing I can do. I don't know how else to describe it. Anyway, the meds helped get rid of that, Thank GOD and I don't have it anymore. It took about 6wks though for the meds to work well. Are you on meds or therapy or anything? I'm sorry, after reading so many posts, its hard to keep track of who is on what, if anything! LOL! Anyway, I also bought a CD that has wave sounds along with some light piano and I listen to that when I get stressed and do the deep belly breathing. Another thing that helped me even before I knew I had anxiety was taking hot baths. I never could figure out why after a hot shower or bath I felt more myself and less dizzy. Its because it calmed me down. I hope something on here helps you, the headaches stink!! Just one more thing to add to the list huh? It really will get better, I promise!! Keep posting!! Hugs, Erin
