having a rough day

I am having a rough day. I went to my ENT and he is sending me to an endocrinologist for my thyroid issues. Also my 19 month old is getting tubes put in his ears tomorrow morning. We are using the same Dr. that did the same surgery on my now 4 and a half year old, so I feel comfortable with him.....but still it's my baby going under anesthesia.
Anyway, I have been feeling panicky this morning. Shaky, tiny chest pains, fast pulse, you know, all the normal panic junk. Anyway, just needed some support!
Kelli

Sounds like a terrible day.
I'm sure that the tubes will make a big difference for your son, my brother had them when growing up and he was nearly deaf before he had the tubes.
*hugs* Take care,
El
Sending lots of good vibes that everything goes well tomorrow morning.
That is good news you're going to an endocrinologist. I do appreciate a doctor who knows that they may be out of his/her league on something and doesn't try to treat something themselves (at least initially). It can be tricky to get the thyroid levels stabilized at first. But not all endos are the same and like any other docs you may need to do some shopping around.
And once they get you on the thyroid hormone it will take a couple of weeks to feel better. And your dosage may have to be upped or lowered too.
(((Kelli))) I am sorry to hear that you're having it rough. I know it's hard watching your baby go through this procedure, but they will do it quickly & safely. I'll keep him in my prayers tom. Can you give us a time? I like to pray during that time.
I hope you can get the thyroid under control. That in itself should make you less anxious. For now, don't forget to breathe:) Even if you don't do the belly breathing, a few deep breaths each hour will help you focus & regain your balance.
If you get a chance, stop into chat tom. night. As always, we're here & we'll be glad to listen. jan
I know that you are very nervous about tomorrow but, I hope to give you a little information so that you will maybe become less nervous!! :) I have a total of four kids and three out of four have had tubes in their ears! Austin my 6 yr. old actually has had two sets of tubes and his adenoids out, Dakota my 4 yr old autistic boy has had one set of tubes (and they are still in) and my little girl Brianna has had one set of tubes.
Hi Kelli, my dd had the tubes put in when she was very small & they worked well for her.
