There is a couple of changes with me, I had made my decision to quit my job because I always feared to get bit and it caused me anxiety. Decided cant do it anymore.

And couldnt go to that therapist anymore, I was paying $25/hr, its not close to me, to draw art, and she doesnt really talk to me, well I only went once and didnt give it a chance. But I dont want to do art therapy and thats what they do there.

I need to find another therapist.

One of my panic attack triggers is really warm/hot weather and its been really warm to me where I live, which is putting me at edge, this Friday I'm going to pick up my boys and its going to be hot. We have no air condition in our car right now, I have been through it before and its not good for me with being panicky. Which we all know what happens. I keep trying to make a plan to get through it, I hope I will be okay.

I hope to make chat tomorrow night,

Tina

So sorry you're having a tough time right now. I had no AC in my old van, and it was difficult even w/o having anxiety.

Do you think it would help to put a small cooler in the car with one or two of those medical cold packs in it? I used to have one that had a nice cloth covering, reusable, you just put it in the freezer and it's a gel (not hard like ice).

I'm going to see a therapist starting in May for a panic support group, and I'm really looking forward to it. For me, sharing in a group is such a relief, because I know others understand and hear my pain, like this board.

Sending hugs, AJ

(((Tina))) I am sorry to hear this. I think that when we're seeking help from a *t*, everyone should be on the same page. Rather than searching for another so soon, can you ask her what plans she has for you &

I absolutely can't stand warm weather either! That is one of my "triggers" for an attack. I am ok driving a car cause I am in control but if a store or anywhere else is remotely warm, I know it will happen. I have had anxiety for 8 years and I have come to realize its all in my head so I am working on calming methods. I finally began therapy yesterday for the first time and already I can't wait to begin living again!

When people say "get over it" or "breathe" its not so easy, you just have to take it one day at a time and do whats best for you, pushing yourself to face your fears slowly.

Good luck, I hope we all overcome anxiety soon!
