Hello, I am new on here and have had years of experience with panic/anxiety. I tend to start thinking about not feeling well and it goes downhill from there! Unfortunately, I fainted when I was nine years old and its been hard ever since. I would love to share, and help others as well as myself with support. I don't have anyone that understands how this can be. I would like to share things I know and learn.

I'm glad you've found us! I have passed out, too, and I know how scary that can be

Hi
i also passed out when i was 12 & never thought anything of it for years. then when i started to get panic attacks 14 years ago, i almost passed out in a store with my young son. from then on it was all downhill. now i refuse to drive alone b/c that is one of my biggest fears.

Hello,
So glad you wrote me. I think the passing out thing is like a loss of control and it is so scarey. I definitely feel the same when driving, unfortunately, I have to work and so it makes it difficult. I have a young daughter (5 years old) and I don't want to hold back for her. I try to keep faith and prove to myself that things will be ok while I am driving. Have you ever tried driving short distances to see if that helps. I have found that confidence plays a role in this, for me anyway. Wendy

I am so I took so long to write back to you. I am having technical difficulties with my computer. Yes, I take zoloft which has seemed to help and I just reengaged into therapy. I have gone in the past and it has helped. I learned how to breathe and calm down. I go through stages I guess. I go a long time without anxiety and boom it hits. I will always fear fainting, because it is so scarey. Feel free to email me anytime. I hope I can help you too. I will share anything if I know it will help.
