Hi Everyone,
I mostly lurk here. I posted a bit a little while back.
About 4 weeks ago my panic disorder kicked in full tilt (like it hadn't in 5 years). It was really, really bad. I scrambled to find help. My therapist recommended this book - When Panic Attacks. She saw a seminar by the author, David Burns, MD., and was very impressed by what he had to say.
I am about 50 pages into it, and it is the best information I have ever gotted about anxiety/panic/OCD... I have been battling them for 7 years, and have been through a lot of resources.
I will say, that he does not advocate meds. HOWEVER, he says repeatedly, that he is not against them. It is a personal choice, and he seems to respect that. He is a psychiatrist and has perscrribed meds before.
Anyway, I really wanted to share. This is a great find for me, I am excited.
:)

Thx for suggesting this book, Laura:) David Burns has been mentioned before but noone ever added
Hi Jan,
I will post about the book in the other folder. I am going to wait until I am a bit further along in the book so I can give a better description. Things have been very crazy!! I am going to write about it in a separate message. I had a very interesting experience with my anxiety...
