I know that I am definitly having anxiety symptoms, but I want to know if anyone else has the same...
I don't have sleeping problems, nor do I feel very anxious (that im aware of). My anxiety at least which I think is anxiety is more health related. I always feel like there is something wrong with me. Sometimes I get chest pain really bad, but most of the time its tiredness and headaches or weird aches on the top of my head. I've been to doctors cuz I thought there was something wrong, but everything seems to be fine. Its crummy because I feel like for the past six months I worry everyday at some point that something is wrong with me and I could die. It keeps me from doing my normal everyday things. I was taking adderall and went off that and the symptoms began, went back on it to see if they would go away and they didn't so now i'm off it again. I hate taking anything though really. I just want to know if this is normal anxiety cuz I don't have some of the other symptoms most people have. I have more of the physical and worry symptoms.

Welcome, Linz. We're glad to have you here. You are NOT alone. Many ppl who post & I am one of them, become very anxious over health issues. Some are real & some are imagined. Mine center on my heart & though I've had panic attacks for 36+ years & have *thought* that I was having heart attacks, my tests are normal & I'm still here;)

If you haven't had a professional diagnosis of anxiety, it's a good idea to see your dr. to rule out any physical findings that may be causing these worries. Besides, it's reassuring to find out that our tests are normal. You can use those results to your advantage when the thoughts of illness arise.

Seeking help is ok. There is no shame in it. Research indicates that 80% of people with anxiety will improve with meds in combination with therapy. There are alternatives such as hypnosis, massage, herbals, biofeedback, etc. & we'll be happy to support you in whatever method you choose. I want you to know that there is help & hope. You DON'T need to suffer & be limited in your daily functioning. Please do what's right for you. You deserve to live better.

Try mediatation, belly breathing or reading the articles on worry in the *coping tips & tricks* folder below. When I first came to this board, I was comforted by reading other's posts & knowing that we had so much in common.

Join us in chats. Don't be a stranger. You CAN learn to cope better. Everyone here is finding their balance & you will too. GL & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
