Yesterday, I had my complete yearly physical with my primary. The lymph nodule has not changed, so he says it is something that is insignificant and was probably there all along. The visit went well, no MRI for the neck. He feels it is all the fibromyaglia, meaning muscle. I had a massage yesterday and the gal used vibrating tuning forks on my spine and neck, along with massage. I felt the muscles relax for the first time in years. I get massages every two weeks and this one was unlike no other. I was painfree for the afternoon and evening. It lasted till I woke up this morning. I do not know what I do to myself in my sleep, but I must do somersaults all night long!! ;o) I do still feel some relief though.
Today I had a CT scan of my lungs. This was done at a different place and was much more professional. I had to wait while they copied all my scans from different places that I brought with me. They even brought me a Latte after the scan. Now, how nice is that?!!!! HOWEVER, there are some real weirdos out there in this world we live in. A very old couple came into the back waiting room that I was in. The man went in for his scan and the woman moved closer to me. Yack, yack, I saw pictures of her grandkids, heard stories of all the cancer on her side of the family. On and on, thank God for the coffee!!! (I waited an hour for these scans by the way!) She tells me she is coming in next month for a mamogram and I said me too. End of discussion, NOT!! She tells me she doesn't wear a bra at home, no need, and yep you guessed it Molly, she lifts up her blouse, pulls down her bra (by the way it was way too big for her) and shows me one breast to prove her point. I just sat there in shock!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and people say I am nuts!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA She continues yacking and doesn't miss a beat. I think I just glazed over!!! Her husband comes out and they leave. While he is dressing, she comes back down this long, long hallway to say good-bye. Boy, was I ever lucky Amy was Amy and not this psycho!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I guess it is just a day in a Goofball's life!!!
Have a great evening!!
Vicki
PS see my post about this board down below and you will understand why I mention Amy!
