Someone make this cough go away!

I've had it over a week. Thurs. I started Zythromax and a cough pill...well shouldn't they be helping by now??? I had bronchitis often years ago and I swear that's what it is even though the dr didn't say so. I just feel weak and icky too still. WAHHHHHH!!! And today is my niece's "Good luck at college" BBQ.

YOu mentioned taking Enbrel. I am on Remicade infusions every 7 weeks but they don't seem to touch my
Wow, your insurance pays that much! Wonder what's up with mine? I may have to find out.
My docs, both the GI and the Rheumy, tell me it is still early. This will be my 4th infusion I think so it isn't THAT early in my mind. Only one infusion worked and it was the second one, and I only felt better for two weeks in the pain department.

Enbrel does work very well for me, but I do not have Crohn's and really know nothing about the meds to treat it. The cost of Enbrel just went up AGAIN (grrr), but it did put me into an eight month remission a few years ago! I don't think you can take Remicade and Enbrel together. Ask your rheumy about this. One of the past posters here, tried Remicade and it did not help, but the Enbrel put her into remission too.
Donna, when my son got married five years ago, I had to take Prednisone too. My rheumy suggested it. I took it for ten days to keep the swelling from going nuts and for some energy. The stress from all of this just causes the RA or whatever to flare.
I have very little side effects from the Enbrel. I also take 12.5 mg of methotrexate and 200 mg. of Plaquenil for my RA.
Take care Donna.
Hugs,
Vicki
Donna, just a thought -- could you talk to your doctor about maybe doing the Remicade infusions a little closer together?

I am staying on the pred until after I move Oct 1st. I need the energy to get packed and ready for the move. I moved here to be near my son and his son and family 6 years ago and now he has moved and there is nothing here for me. So I will move where they are and be able to still help with the boy and be part of his life. I need energy to be a good grandma.
I have Remicade on Monday and will talk to them about the Enbrel again. I think I need to talk to my rheumy about it and find someplace to get it (Walmart?) where I can afford it. It was hundreds of dollars when I checked last time.
I have mentioned having the Remicade sooner. I will mention it again. They moved it up one week from 8 weeks to 7 weeks. Not much help there.
I don't think I can take Enbrel and Remicade together. One or the other, they are both biologicals I think. I know Remicade is. My Crohn's symptoms are under control but it's the arthritis that is dragging me down. I feel so much better on the Wellbutrin and the 10mg of prednisone. I will stay on this until they find something else that works.
