I shall tell you gals a little story, then you will know really what I am like .. (ha ha)

Many Moons ago when my son was a baby and I was on maternity leave, I decided to be a very good wife, so each week I would iron my husbands work clothes and lay them out ready for him for work the next day..I did this because I loved him (and I had post partum stupidity).

Well time passed.. 7 months and I was back at work on all shifts as well as baby who didnt sleep, and my husband one morning came in saying his clothes were not ironed.

Well I threw them on the ground and stamped all over them with my feet, picked them up, handed them to him and asked did he need any thing else ironed.

Needless to say to this day he has never asked me to iron his work clothes for him.

I think my kids are now also ready for this lesson...........Lell.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen was my husband trying to iron. I knew I was going to be laid up for awhile after surgery, so my DH decided he would learn to do the laundry. Poor, sweet man--he tried so hard. Ended up he brought the dirty laundry to where I was and we sorted it together. Then he wrote little notes and put on each pile as to what washer settings, which soap, how long in the dryer, etc. We managed to get through that part. Then, he set the ironing board up in front of me and started to "iron." I finally decided it would hurt less to stand up and iron than to hold a pillow over my stomach when I laughed.

That was many years ago--now everything that could conceivably require ironing is sent out to the laundry. I found a family owned and operated laundry where they really take pride in doing a good job, and believe me, it's well worth the money. DH goes through at least five starched dress shirts a week. And I only have to look at a light colored blouse or top and it has spots dribbled down the front. No way could my poor hands and shoulders take that kind of punishment.

Rosemary, my sister sends a fair amount of her and her DH's clothing to the laundry.

Great story Zell!! I either put them in the dryer for a bit or hang them in the bathroom when taking a shower and let the steam unwrinkle them.

Luv Ya!!
