Just wanted to drop in and say hello and give an update. I'm fighting with my HMO now for a referral to a Rheumy...didn't know it would be that hard! Its just a piece of paper...I've still been in pain, some days are worse than others and today seems to be better...I got VERY depressed and had tons of self pity over all this, did lots of crying and feeling very angry and sorry for myself...Oh, btw, I apparently have both FMS and RA.

I was so incredibly exhausted, and in so much pain, and I was so depressed...then I tried everything I could to bring myself up out of it...and I did...I realized that I didn't let my Bipolar beat me and it was hell in and of itself for the last 4 years...and if that didn't beat me, then this absolutely won't...I had to dig down deep to find strength, but I've done it before and I did it again.

I'm trying like crazy to hold onto that attitude and keep on fighting...its not easy, but life goes on...

Thanks to you all for listening and understanding, it means a great deal when you're in so much physical pain, and nobody really understands what you're going through.

Love and Hugs,

Keli

You keep pushing your primary to see a rheumy. Primary's do not have the knowledge to treat RA. You need him to write the referral and then it shouldn't be a problem with the insurance company. At least, this has been my experience.

Things will get better, Keli. Hang in there. Once you are on RA meds, and or some prednisone you should start feeling better.

Gentle Hugs,
Vicki

Hey girl!
I am glad that you are feeling better, and that you are starting to work through some of the many emotions you go through when you are first dx'd. HORRAY!! Way to go.
It will slowly get a little better as time goes on, and you start getting treated right. I am here if you need me. So is everyone else on the board. Rant, rave, rage, cry, whatever you need to do, you can do it here.
Take good care hon. (((((Keli)))))
Love you,
