Hi Donna,

So glad to hear you are doing well. There is a vent and rant post about me, so I will leave it at that!!! ;o) My grandchildren are great, the oldest just turned four!! The baby is seven months!!! If we could have some sunshine and warm weather in CA, I am sure I would feel better!!!

How are Emmy and Spencer?

Hugs,
Vicki

Hi! I've had 2 shots so far (they are weekly, like the pills). This week my shoulders ARE better...let's see if they stay that way!

Happy all is going well for you. I admire your work with the Humane Society and greyhound group. All of my animal charity support goes to an organization here called the Max Fund. It's a private foundation that runs a no-kill shelter for animals. Strange how things start. About 15 years ago, a dog wearing a collar and a tag engraved "Max" was hit by a car and abandoned. A vet took him in and treated him (really expensive treatment to save the dog), and a newspaper columnist wrote a column about Max. Donations started pouring in for the dog, and a fund was established at a local bank. From that grew the entire shelter, a mobile veterinary van for providing low-cost vaccinations and spaying/neutering, and a host of other services for animals. My husband volunteers as a dog walker for an hour or so 3 days a week, and we often take a dog with us if we are going to the mountains or spending a good share of the day outside on the weekend. I just feel terrible when we have to return them instead of taking them home with us. But, I know that we would not be good dog owners at this point, and the cats just might pack up and leave home. Max Fund allows you to "adopt" a dog financially by paying for its monthly care, so that will have to do until our situation changes. I expect that someday my husband will find a dog that he absolutely cannot live without.

Hi Donna,

It was the 4 year old's (Julia)birthday and my dh too. Julia had three parties. One at pre-school, a kid party and a family party, shared with her Papa!!!! I live near Sacramento, northern CA, and I think it is time to build an ark!

Hugs,
Vicki
