PAIN!!

This may not be coherent. Been up since 4:30 in pain. Yesterday I woke up with pain in rt shoulder blade, thought I slept wrong. As day went by that went away and then my upper spine/neck felt hot and achey and it spread to my shoulders. Went to bed feeling ok. Woke at 4:30 and realized I couldn't get out of bed without DH's help due to the pain, can't even turn over. NO position took the pain away. Took Aleve. Feels better up and walking than laying or sitting. Took another Aleve. Not sure I can shower, but I'd rather go to work in case I have to go see Dr. (he's in NYC, where I work)

Hi Michele,
I am sorry to hear that you are in pain. Do you think you might have a pinched nerve?
That was the only thing I could think of when I read your post.
I hope you get in to see your doc,and that he has a answer for you.
Gentle hugs (((((Michele)))))
Here's what I'm hoping it's not:
Spondylitis. This form of psoriatic arthritis can cause inflammation in your spine as well as stiffness and inflammation in your neck, lower back or sacroiliac joints. Inflammation can also occur where ligaments and tendons attach to your spine. As the disease progresses, movement tends to become increasingly painful and difficult. Psoriatic spondylitis isn't the same as ankylosing spondylitis, another arthritic condition. Ankylosing spondylitis doesn't occur with psoriasis and usually affects the entire spine, whereas psoriatic spondylitis may affect only your neck or low back.
It feels VERY hot to me and gets stiff when I don't move...I don't think it's a nerve.

(((((Michele))))) I had bursitis in my shoulder about 15 years ago. I was in so much pain. My arm, my shoulder, arm pit, neck, and upper part of my back were so painful. The cortisone shots helped for a little bit, then physical therapy for months and I could not vacuume at all, doctor's orders. (I cleaned like Cyndi does);o) After lots of rest to the bursa, it got better. If I do too much, I can feel it. Now I wonder if it wasn't the fibro way back then.
I am praying that this all goes away for you soon without having another dx added to the mix.
Love,
Vicki
Great news Michele! I hope it continues to get better.
Hugs,
Vicki
