As for the feuding friends, tell A that you don't want to be in the middle of the situation. I've had to do that before. You gotta be mean, I know it's tough. Just be honest and say, "I'm not comfortable being in the middle of yuor fight, please take it up with him/her"

As for your "Joe" oh my GOD does that sound familiar. Let me tell you about my birthday party!

I have a friend who has a serious alcohol problem. He's gay and had a huge crush on my b/f too. At first it was funny and cute, since my b/f is kind of homophobic. (Which is weird since most of my friends are gay) Anyway, he showed up at my birthday party at 12:30 at night, drunk off his butt. He then drank more and more and staggered around being a royal a$$. Being crude and hitting on every guy there. Then he walked up to my b/f and licked his neck! I thought my b/f was going to hit him right then and there. I told my b/f to go wait in the living room and I then told my friend it was time for him to go. He lives two blocks away and I told him to walk home. He started crying and telling everyone I was a horrible b**ch for kicking him out, then he ran out the door, got in his car and drove off! I was worried since he was so drunk, but too mad to care. Everyone there felt so bad for me. They were so mad he was being such an a$$.

I know how you feel. I would just be honest and tell him you don't appreciate how he acts when he gets liquered up.

Good luck!

Thanks Bennie - telling Mr. Boozer the truth would be the only way to handle things, that's a good suggestion.

Wowie, that's a wild story about that guy & your B-day party.
