Are you always waiting until “tomorrow” or “when this happens then I can do that”?

I cleaned my entire apartment, which is sooooo easier said then done. Then I went outside when the weather was nice, made myself a nice meal, and watched my favorite movie, just to enjoy the uncluttered space and time with myself. :-)

This happened on Friday, so I think it counts! I finally got the tattoo that I've been wanting for two years. Well, part of it, actually. I go back on Thursday to get the rest of it done. I had originally planned to get it for my birthday in February, but I was sick in bed with the flu, so then I decided that when DH had his spring break, I would give the tattooist a call, which I did. This place does only custom tats, no flash, so this tat is unique for me.

The tat is a belly dance rat. I'm a belly dancer who was born in the Year of the Rat. The tattooist is making the rat's fur match my hair color and is giving the rat my eye color. She is a lot more feminine in her costuming, which I really like. So this weekend I've been spending my time cleaning the tat and applying lotion and counting down the days until Thursday and I can finally have the tat completed.

Ooops! I didn't say where it was, did I?! It's on my left arm, starting at my shoulder and is about 7 inches long. My first tat is a cheetah done in black ink, which is on my thigh and is about 9 inches long. The rat is very intricate with a lot of detail, so she had to use a very thin, very sharp needle for the outline. Now that really hurt! My cheetah is thick-lined and it hardly hurt at all.

Well, my space turned out to be a space within a space.
